Sky Map

Google Sky Map is similar to Google Earth, but the app provides a map of space instead of the Earth itself. The software is a bit limited in terms of what it can display since it only offers locations at the ground level of the user, so whatever the user can see with the naked eye in the night sky, the app will be able to describe. It works by turning any Android smartphone into a window that offers information on what the phone camera is looking at. As the phone moves across the sky, so does the information on the screen. Users can select what elements they want to see in their display, including stars, planets, and constellations.
